MICS IN LIBYA

16 September 2022

UNICEF and the Government of Libya signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 14 September 2022 to launch a MICS in Libya

MICS will support the Government to collect key indicators that are used to assess the situation of children and women and to measure progress towards the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). MICS is a rich source of data on the SDGs, collecting about 33 SDG-relevant indicators.

The last nationally representative household survey in the country was the Pan-Arab Program for Family Health (PAPFAM) in 2014. The upcoming MICS will provide crucial information on how children and women are faring today and how their lives have changed over time.

Upon completion of the survey, a survey report and database will be made available.
