MICS news and updates

The three reports were launched officially this week and all three surveys are expected to release their Final Reports later in 2015.

For MICS3 surveys, a file containing the new z-scores according to the new WHO Child Growth Standards has been created.

A MICS Data Processing workshop took place on 4-14 May 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey

In May 2015, national governments, with support from the MICS Programme, released 10 Key Findings Reports. Of the 28 surveys completing fieldwork in 2014, 23 have released results.

A new collaborative group has been established which brings together the three largest household survey programs – DHS, MICS and LSMS. [UPDATED 9 June 2015]

Close to 400 participants from across the world came together in Cartagena, Colombia, to learn and share best practices on the use of big and open data.

The next MICS workshop on Data Processing will take place during 4-14 May 2015 in Istanbul, and is being organized by the UNICEF CEECIS Regional Office.

The final report of the MICS 2014 was launched on 19 March 2015 in Harare.

Mexico and Paraguay will be conducting their first MICS surveys later this year.

Datasets from the 2013 Montenegro (National) MICS and the 2013 Montenegro Roma Settlements MICS are now available for download.

Results of the national MICS survey in Serbia and the subnational survey of Roma settlements in Serbia were released in December 2014.
