The Key Findings Report of the Punjab (Pakistan) 2024 Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) provides an in-depth overview of the well-being of children, women and households across Punjab. As the first publication from the sixth MICS survey in Punjab, this report presents key insights from data collected between January and July 2024, encompassing interviews with over 45,000 households in urban and rural areas and across all 36 districts of the province.
While the datasets and additional outputs are yet to be released, the Key Findings Report already provides vital insights for policymakers and development partners.
The results will serve as a critical tool for monitoring Punjab’s progress toward achieving its development priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They will support evidence-based policymaking, guide targeted interventions, and inform the design of annual development programmes.
At the launch event hosted by the Bureau of Statistics (BoS) Punjab at the Planning & Development Board’s auditorium, the Director General of BoS Punjab, Ch. Sajid Rasul shared a comparative analysis of past and current survey data, highlighting key trends and progress. Secretary P&D Board, Dr. Asif Tufail, emphasized the report’s significance in promoting equitable development and informed decision-making across Punjab.
This survey was conducted by the Bureau of Statistics (BoS) Punjab, with support from UNICEF Pakistan, the Regional Office for South Asia, and UNICEF Headquarters.
