UNICEF’s Georgia Country Office and Europe & Central Asia Regional Office have jointly published a brief that reflects on the situation of children prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, in an effort to identify children and families at risk. The brief titled, "Vulnerable children and risks in COVID-19 times," is primarily based on the Georgia MICS 2018 findings, complemented with information from various other data sources. Results are presented in the form of absolute numbers, estimated by applying population and administrative data from Geostat to the indicator values from MICS. Results on household composition, living environment, socio-economic impact, education, social protection and child protection are presented.
